Finally, it's done!

Now on to decorate that nine foot tree that's calling my name. Oh, and I guess everyone expects to have dinner tonight.

  1. Good to see you post again.

Y'know I often thought about how much time we would save if we didn't have to eat!...but I do love to eat, so don't listen to me.

  2. Ok, so there's no way I can catch you up on OUR story, but I just have to say that I've been staying up for an additional hour tonight JUST to read your blog! In a nutshell, I'm a Texas girl, married to a Hong Kong Chinese guy. And I have a big heart for adoption, although, I only take care of my one son and will hopefully have our second child next August (just found out I'm pregnant). Adoption will, Lord willing, be in our future, but I just have to say that EVERYTHING that I have read as you have shared your heart has made me feel like I've found a friend!!! And no, I wouldn't dare act like we're "meant to be friends"...that's just weird. But all that you're doing to LOVE Wenxin is AMAZING and I love that you're keeping his name. My son's middle name is Ho-long. And I grew up a WASP (white, anglo-saxon, protestant) so my husband and I joke that he's a banana and I'm an egg. Yellow on the outside/inside and white on the inside/outside. Ha! If only I could tell you how much our little family embodies the Chinese-American connection...never a dull moment! God bless you this Christmas! I look forward to reading more soon! ~Laura Yan

  4. Hi Dana,

I enjoyed reading your blog. I found it as I am starting the process once again to adopt my fourth child from China as a single Mom. It kind of grows on you! I'm maxing out the requirments on many fronts, but just received PA on a 6 year old boy... thus my interest in reading your blog. Your blog brought back many memories of my last three trips and will help me prepare for this one, especially going for a six year old. My others were 4 months, 2 and 3, and are now 11, 15 and 19. The two younger ones have albinism as does my new son. Again, thanks for keeping the blog up, I'm sure it has been helpful to many families Claire

  5. Claire - So excited about your new son. I respect you so much for doing this as a single mom. Your son will be blessed to have a mom and siblings! Would love to follow your blog if you have one.

  6. Thanks. I should say that I recently retired which really gave me the flexibility to do this. I feel very fortunate. I'll let you know it I do a blog!
